WHATS INCLUDED WITH AN OPENING?
Opening a pool involves a systematic process to ensure the water is clean, safe, and chemically balanced for swimming. The first step is to remove any winter covers or protective materials, followed by cleaning the pool by skimming the surface, brushing the walls, and vacuuming debris.
Reassembling and starting pool equipment like the pump and filter is essential, along with checking and balancing the water chemistry by testing and adjusting pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels.
After circulating the water through the filtration system, a shock treatment is typically added to kill bacteria and algae. Algaecide can also be introduced to prevent future algae growth. Once the water is clear and properly balanced, the pool is ready for enjoyment
WHATS INCLUDED WITH A CLOSING?
The water level is lowered, and the plumbing lines are blown out to prevent freezing damage. Winterizing plugs are installed in the skimmer and return jets, and pool antifreeze is added to protect the plumbing. Pool equipment is drained and winterized, and all equipment and accessories are cleaned and stored.
The pool is thoroughly cleaned, ensuring debris is removed and water chemistry is balanced. Then, the pool is shocked and treated with algaecide to prevent any growth during the off-season.
A suitable pool cover, either solid or mesh, is placed over the pool and securely fastened.
